Test Automation Engineer

Description of role
The test automation engineer will design, develop and maintain a framework for automated unit tests for our server APIs, as well as participate on other levels of testing.
Nyx Interactive acts in a rapidly changing business and we have to work with an agile frame of mind. Our systems are highly integrated with other gaming suppliers, payment providers and web portals and our testing framework must adapt to the constantly changing environment.

Your background
• Solid experience in object oriented software design.
• Good knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, PHP etc.
• Familiar with Unix tools
• Good understanding of HTTP protocol
• Worked with high volume transaction-intensive systems connected to Internet
• Experience in troubleshooting of complex systems
• Knowledge of SQL
It's an advantage if you also have experience from testing/developing web applications built with different technology such as HTML, Flash.

As a person you have to be self-reliant, driven and thorough and you have an eye for details. You are able to understand complex technical solutions and design efficient tests that each gives value. You will be expected to infuse the whole team with awareness of quality and be prepared to coach and inspire your co-workers in this area. The right person will have the possibility to step forward and take on more responsibility for the whole QA process at Nyx Interactive.
